Eight winners are chosen from four population categories, with a gold and silver winner in each category. The winning cities are nationally recognized during NLC's Congress of Cities Conference and Exposition held in November of each year. In addition, winners receive a donation to the local nonprofit organization of their choice. Nominations must be submitted by May 1, 2008. Visit the website listed above for details.
