The
Home Visiting Committee of Prevention Works! met on 9-11-01
Present: Jan Laine (HFCC), Nita Quan (First Step), Deb Stokke and Sheree
(Health Dept.), Joanne Tisch and Diana Assumpcao (HFCC)
The committee set forth the following goals for the upcoming year:
1) Enhance communication/interface of home visitors
2) Continue to provide training opportunities for home visitors and the
community, especially "promising practice" strategies
3) Identify and eliminate gaps and potential duplication of services.
Action
Plan to Achieve Goals:
1) Plan and implement 3rd. Annual Home Visitor Summit
2) Explore funding to increase access for home visitors to attend
trainings locally and regionally
3) Create a current list of Clallam County home visiting services with
yearly updates
The
next meeting of the Home Visiting Committee will be Thursday Sept. 20th
at 10 AM at Bonny's Bakery. All interested please attend; we will be
planning the summit.
