Minutes of Parent Education Committee
– Prevention
Works! Those present: Fiona Thom Hert and Jim Borte Due to the limited participation, Fiona and Jim discussed the publicity for Summit and did not continue with the agenda as planned. Jim will talk charge of advertising and asked if there were monies available from Prevention Works to cover some advertising costs. Fiona will check with Florence Bucierka and request funds of $400.00 for advertising. Fiona gave Jim the publicity packet from Joseph Garcia as well as the presentation description and biography for Drew Betz. Jim asked if Drew or Joseph and local experts in early learning might be available for the Todd Orloff radio show if possible. Fiona will follow up with Drew and Joseph. Discussion followed on release dates for the summit including immediate submittal to the media on registration with a follow up the week of October 15 for the general public. Jim was given a copy of the registration form with the summit information. The meeting adjourned at 9 am. |
