Prevention Works! Policies and Procedures Committee Meeting Minutes Present: Florence Bucierka, Carol Huard, Jane Shefler,
Norma Turner The committee met at 4:00 p.m. in the Human Services
Conference Room at the Courthouse Discussion focused on the conclusions and assigned tasks
of the previous meeting. 1.
Norma presented a revision of the policy for endorsements. The
committee members made several suggestions. Norma will rewrite the policy for
the next meeting. It will be presented to the membership in September, 2.
The corporate bylaws review was rescheduled for the next committee
meeting. 3.
The bank account management policy draft guidelines were reviewed.
There was a question regarding what had been decided at the membership meeting
in June. The only reference to the account in the minutes was as follows.
“Jane Shefler said she and Norma started an account today at Washington
Mutual. We have $1249.85 as an initial deposit. Three people can sign but two
are required. These funds will be put into a CD until there is a need for
them.” 4.
The proposed composition of the Board of Directors policy was reworked.
Jane will rewrite them for the next committee meeting. She will also send us
the current Clallam County Prevention Works! Community Coalition Governing
Rules as adopted January 12, 1999. Agenda for the August 22, 2000 meeting

Approval of the proposed composition of the Board of Directors The next meeting of the committee will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2000 at 11:30 AM in the Human Services Conference Room. Members are encouraged to bring their lunch.
