What is Prevention Works!

We represent nonprofit agencies, businesses, schools, government organizations,
|and the community at large. The coalition was formed in 1998
and later became a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation.
It has grown to over 250 members who are working to keep our children safe and healthy.
 

Prevention Works! Meetings
are held on the second Monday of each month (except July & August) from 4:00-5:30 p.m.
and are held at Olympic Medical Center (Linkletter Auditorium in Basement) in Port Angeles.
Telelinking with the West End of Clallam County usually happens through West End Outreach in Forks.

Membership
Over 200 people are currently involved in the efforts of Prevention Works! 
These include non-profit agencies, the health department, law enforcement, community supporters, educators, child care providers, the religious community, tribes, mental health workers, and parents.
Membership is open to anyone who shares our interest in preventing problems for young children and who wants to actively participate in coalition activities and meetings.
